What does the name Capri mean?

Capri is the island in the Bay of Naples, used as a girls' name. Wiktionary traces it to Latin Capreae and lists three explanations for that name: an Etruscan word, Greek kapros, wild boar, or Latin capreae, goats, which would make it "goat island." None is settled. Wiktionary also uses Capri for the light white wine made on the island. It has been an occasional American girls' name since the 1950s.
