What does the name Seraphina mean?

Seraphina is a Late Latin name formed from seraphim, the six-winged heavenly beings in Isaiah's vision (Isaiah 6:2). The Hebrew word seraph is linked with the root s-r-p 'to burn', so the seraphim are often called 'the burning ones'. The name was borne by obscure early martyrs and by Saint Seraphina (Fina) of San Gimignano, a 13th-century Italian saint. In English it is spelled Seraphina or Serafina.
