What does the name Jaden mean?

Jaden is a spelling of Jayden. Wiktionary says Jayden was invented by American parents at the end of the 20th century, combining the letter J with the sound of names like Aidan, Braden and Hayden. A biblical Jadon (Nehemiah 3:7) is sometimes suggested as a source, but there is no evidence the modern name came from it. The actor Jaden Smith (born 1998) made this spelling well known.

How sure is this? Not documented. Modern American coinage; the biblical Jadon is a lookalike, not a documented source.

Other explanations you may read: from biblical Jadon, 'thankful' or 'God has heard'.
